Steel Shot for LPG Cylinder Semi-Finished Products:
During the shot blasting stage for semi-finished LPG steel cylinders, steel shot is typically used as the blasting abrasive.
This steel shot is made from high-carbon chilled cast iron or low-alloy steel, formed into spherical particles through a controlled atomization and tempering process. It features moderate hardness, high toughness, and good reusability, effectively removing scale, rust, welding slag, and surface oxides from the cylinder body without causing excessive substrate damage or deformation.

The particle size is usually in the range of S110 to S780, selected to achieve a uniform, clean surface finish and appropriate anchor pattern, which improves adhesion for subsequent painting, coating, or enamel processes.
During operation, the steel shot is propelled at high velocity by the blast wheel, impacting the surface of the cylinder to clean and strengthen it. The used shot is recycled via a screening and dust removal system to ensure stable and consistent blasting quality.

Steel shot is widely used for descaling and rust removal of workpieces. As a conventional metallic abrasive product for blast cleaning, it has both national standard grades and non-standard grades. There are clear differences between virgin materials and recycled materials, leading to vastly different performance in actual use.

All our steel shot is made from 100% virgin raw material and undergoes secondary quenching and uniform tempering. It features a dense martensitic microstructure, high toughness, uniform particle size with a narrow size distribution, low consumption rate, resistance to breakage, excellent cleaning effect, and long service life.
