Ever Given ship partially freed in the Suez Cannal, authority confirms

At 8:00 a.m. local time on March 23 in Egypt, evergiven, a container ship owned by EVA shipping, was suspected to have been hit by an instant strong wind at the southern end of the estuary when it entered the Suez Canal from the north of the Red Sea, causing the ship to deviate from the channel and hit the bottom accidentally.

I thought the accident could be solved quickly, but I didn't expect that this card would last for six days.

During this period, people all over the world broke their hearts for the ship and gave many suggestions to get rid of the difficulties.

Ever Given ship partially freed in the Suez Cannal, authority confirms
The container ship began to float successfully after responding to the pulling maneuvers, said Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA),in a phone interview with state TV.Once the ship is withdrawn,we will resume navigation directly, and we will take it to the Bitter Lakes.

Osama Rabie, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, said that strong winds did affect the movement of ships, but it was not the only factor. It could be human operation or technical errors.

However, Javier Blas, a reporter from the Peng Bo news agency, pointed out that when ever given was about to enter the canal, another cargo ship had judged that the wind was too strong, and another two container ships that had entered the canal immediately asked for tugboats to help them move forward. However, ever given neither delayed entering the port nor sought tugboat assistance, which may be another major cause of the accident.

At present, there are more than 450 ships lining up in the Gulf of Suez and the Mediterranean, waiting for the canal to open. It is not clear when the river will reopen and how long it will take to clear the 450 ships of congestion.
